A new study has indicated that the human brain shows higher response to pictures of animals than of humans or building or flowers etc. This is regardless whether the person finds the animal cute, ferocious or dangerous!
This test was done on a few Epileptic patients and scientists noticed higher activity in the amygdalae ( a pair of almond-shaped structures found deep within the brain, usualy associated with emotion, fear and smell) when the patient looked at a picture of an animal.
This new finding will help researchers understand why some people suffer from phobia of animals and are working on a cure to the sickness.
